Is Voltaic MP aware? On my quad g5, I only ever get 1 core maxing out (when using fast mode, ffmpeg hovers around 98%). Is there any way to get it to use all cores? I'm very grateful for Voltaic's existence, but 3/4 of my machine is idling... Thanks for any clues on this.
FASTER SPEED & LESS MEMORY USAGE
Hi Support
I'll second this request as I have very large files to convert. It takes for ever. Especially once the 16GB memory are full.
When storing a whole documentary the film-team has not stored the original file structure on disk which could be read by final cut, but only the mts or even the converted m2ts files. This means we have to convert 3tb in slow motion which is not really fun at all.
Faster conversions
If you have MTS files without the file structure, you can use Revolver to add all the required MTS files to a camera archive.
Final Cut Log and Transfer can read this archive to do a faster, multiprocessor conversion (assuming you have FCP 6+ and Intel boxes).
multiprocessor support
Hi Support. is there a chance that the upgrade to 2.5 will bring multiprocessor support?
I have 2 terra-bites to convert into APPLE prores and need SPEED.
Multi core support
VoltaicHD on really uses a single core (and a bit of a second core) for now. We will look at multi-tasking in the future but for now we're focusing on features over speed.
