i have created a new library on one of my mac notebooks for a recent trip to store and organize videos shot there. it now has folders 1, 2, 3 and 4 under "Library" of "FlamingoHD". I want to merge it with my "existing library" on another mac notebook so that I can work on this notebook primarily. but the folders in that notebook also begins with "2" and go up to "31". would it be ok if i rename all the new folders, i.e. 1,2,3, and 4 to 32,33,34, and 35? then copy 2 to 32 over? hope i am not sounding too confused. presumably, when i reopen flamingohd, i get to see all the old and new events...

regards,

Merging libraries

We don't formally support merging of libraries with FlamingoHD yet, but here's a workaround.

Copy the Library folder of the library to be merged in to the computer running the main library.

Make sure FlamingoHD is set to "Copy imported Media to Library area", under Advanced Preferences.

Now do a Batch Import of the second Library area into the main FlamingoHD.

This will copy in all the media, create new events and you should be right.
